We are expecting a few this weekend... Shpuld be interesting... We have a big lean to on the back of the hay shed that has a calf gate so the babies can get in the straw and stay out of the wind and rain. Then we have the calving sheds we can put them in if we have too.. But with the amount of cows we have close and how quick they have been going both sheds may have a momma with a new baby! There are 5-6 cows that are really getting close... A few of which are first timers so we always lock them up with baby just Incase... But we haven’t had any issues..@holm25 With the weather we have "scheduled" for this weekend, it appears you will have a busy weekend.
Hopefully, it will stay dry for you. Cold they can handle, wet not so much.
Yep that’s the trouble babyYou've gotten quite tall Holm! Is the troubled baby the one that got stuck under the fence and almost froze?
I go dry until day 18...What humidity level should the incubator be at? I think I'm going through water too quickly. I have the center trough filled, per instructions, but have already had to fill it twice.
When I borrowed this, I don't see a vent cap. Vent is currently open. Guessing that's where the water is going....
