Layers if I was there I’d be the one with short red hair. ;) So was Saturday judging? How did u all do? Sounds like a fantastic time and show.
Well our family did quite well. The kids took champion and reserve champion in the English class junior division. Also DD took champion large fowl jr division. Also DS took third place in intermediate showmanship out of 18 kids.

Those look nice! :thumbsup

I got 2nd in senior showmanship, @holm25 and I got roped into it last minute by @MNChickMom there were only 3 seniors so it wasn't to bad . Bird wise I got 1 by default on a white pullet, 2 and 3 on Black hens, 4 and 5 on black cockerels, and 4 on a black pullet. I also bought 11 more cochins, 10 blacks from Jusim Biren which I got a deal on really good birds for $80 and he was so nice to deal with and so honest about his birds, and a white cockerel from Rick.

Cooped in at Hutch too! Brought 30 silkies in the show hall. 2 blew beards at last minute but brought them anyways. Ran into Isaiah and got to chat for a bit. I think I've passed Katya a few times... long red braid? Tomorrow I'll most likely be hanging out by a blue GMC and old red horse trailer. Have a ton of extra silkie cockerels left and brought some really nice chocolate muscovies out of the old Schulte line (1 old drake, 6 young hens) and 2 young silver hens that are a Schulte/Haefs mix. I can't sleep in a hotel bed very well .... 2:30 am and been tossing all night. My kid is loving the fact the hotel has a pool though. I have to head home this afternoon to check on my horses yet and back again Sunday morning. Thanking my lucky stars that I did stay tonight anyways since it got super foggy and doing that heavy misting. I only live an hour away though too.... Good luck to everyone today!
You are about 15 min from me :)
I am by Morgan

Morning . A little rain then windy today . Raked leaves and put them in the chicken pens yesterday . Got my chainsaw back Friday . It was carburetor problem . So they put in a kit . Had me stumped . Turns out it was flooding the engine . I have a spare saw so most of my firewood is cut .

I will be taking lessons from my 12 year old son in showing buckeyes. He took best of breed with his buckeye in junior division, I took reserve breed in open division with a 2 year old cock. And a couple of buckeye picsView attachment 1573150View attachment 1573151View attachment 1573152View attachment 1573153View attachment 1573154View attachment 1573155

Holms, you are stimulating business at the feed mill. Let me know what you think of the Arabian Trumpeters if you get them.
