Those old girls are hard to lose. Sorry to hear about the loss of Honey. :hugs

I got DS ‘s truck today and got bales of hay and hauled straw down to the coop too. I leafed out one of the hay bales on top of the oak leaves and the girls went crazy. I might go get another for them to unwrap mid winter. I broke apart half a bale of straw in the coop and laid it down for the hens. It is so sweet smelling and I sat down on it in my jeans and Freya scratched around and socialized with me. Gosh I love that cute hen. As I sat there my my backside started warming on the straw. It is warmer bedding. It’s just dealing with the poop in it. We’ll see how it goes. But the smell and the warmth. Beautiful birds on it. I didn’t have my phone down there but will get some cozy coop photos tomorrow.

We have 4-5 inches of snow on the ground up here.
