Good morning Chickeneers. Do I need to plug in my coop tonight? I hear predictions of windchill--that is different than inside a coop I realize-- below zero. Egads. Winter is really here isn't it?!? I like it...but maybe after thanksgiving...Please.

Ralphie sounds like you will be Turkey-towning it.

The boy is getting all squirrely-ice fishing nut-- seeing that ice forming on the lake. Don't know what Wednesday and Thursday's 40 degree weather is going to do to it though....

The photos from Ohio are amazing. Are those really chickens?!

They seem to look different than mine...

The only gift I got was the gift of a smelly vehicle and a half bag of pelleted bedding.

Oh and maybe a few bantam buckeyes..... and a few large fowl buckeyes.

Maybe a year or two of Camboy sleeping in the garage will teach him to never go on a trip like this and not bring me a chicken would help........

I accomplished chicken work today!!!

I moved all my toads inside for the winter. I have not added the pullets yet or moved Hoover into the pen. I am thinking of moving the Buckeye Rooster to a special pen.....as a back up and using hoover...

I had a hard time catching all the toads, They run so darn fast! They are really plump going into the winter. I even toyed with the idea of getting rid of all my birds except the toads. They are the perfect dual perfect bird. They lay eggs daily,,,,,huge eggs.....and they are really big for frying and roasting...

Then I think hiow much I like going to Hutch and change my mind....anyone with a buckeye hen that is show quality or cab be breed into one,,Let me know,,,
