Surviving Minnesota!

Morning another nice day here . More rain tonight .
Looks ok here, now. But the days seldom end the way they start lately.

I have a ton of work to do, but first I must build my courage to tackle it by drinking my tea.

I might go look at the fiddleheads before doing much also.

Sunny and cool morning again.

I got zero done yesterday. I had extra kids here all day and 4-h in the afternoon. I chose to sit and visit with my 19 year old most of the day and pretend all was quiet and things weren't being destroyed around me. Our 4-h club had an outing at a large dairy farm. That was like herding cats. The mom in charge of the tour was neither loud enough or intimidating enough for our bunch. We have a lot of very young, energetic members. Then someone thought it was a good idea to feed the little demons ice cream and brownies. I was just happy I was not taking home toddlers afterwards.

Today I may go outside and get something done, or I may just sit and enjoy the silence. I am one of the rare people who love Mondays. Monday means peace and quiet.

Good morning!

So what happened to spring and warm temps. This 20 degrees below average stinks! My wonderful husband and kids cleaned my hatch room last night. I can only imagine what he is going to be buying a raffle ticket for next.

Started my final hatch of the 2019 season today. Threw out some really old eggs. But still set about 125. Mostly bantams and toads. I don’t have high hopes as these eggs have been jostled a bit with cleaning.

Gotta go! Work is calling my name. Dreaming of the day I can say “ I retire”.
