Surviving Minnesota!

Everyone is still alive and it was 34 this morning. I left off the end tarps from my meat chicken tractor but they seemed, if anything, happier than usual. It’s 58 now. That sounds tropical. Sad, huh?

I put Hanna Belle back out and saw her nibbling at her oat-covered food. Maybe it will cure her and I’ll have to change her name... I will always know who she is. She is a marked goose. (I put a red zip tie around her ankle.) I can tell the cows apart, but there are just too many birds and the geese all look alike except for size, which is kind of hard to judge.

The best way to tell geese apart is by removing their heads and writing their names on the freezer wrap.

Might be last day for these. They are unrolling fast today.
