Surviving Minnesota!

I think we may just have to become “climate refugees” ourselves and head for a more southerly aspect. I could use a little GW right about now. Not sure preventing GW is going to be a big selling point in the generals.

Human influence on the climate is so small as to barely be measurable. However the ignorance level of the climate change advocates is proof that educated people can also be ignorant related to many subjects.
It was 42 degrees here at 6:00 and is now 37 and snowing. The wind is strong and off the big lake, so you know it is cold.

You give humans more credit than I do for climate change..

I remember back during the great chill when the dinosaurs realized global cooling was going to kill them off. I over heard one Mother dinosaur telling her brood they had to eat more fern leafs. Ferns gave them terrible gas, which they were sure would stop global warming..

It did nothing for the climate and they died out anyways.

You might remember the Dino Moms name.. it slips my mind but you being older than me might remember her. I was just a little kid back then.

Final two calves were born late last night/early this morning. One late Black angus, and then my Jersey heifer.
Jersey had a nice little heifer calf, this was the one I had bred to a longhorn, she had no problems whatsoever in calving and it is a very cute little thing. A nice brown color, and I was suprised to see a couple of white markings as the bull was solid red, and a good leggy calf

I hope my apples and pears pollinated.

They only had flowers for a day to a day and a half. I never saw any bees on them. The flowers got knocked off in the wind and downpour.

Jerry, Ed. Your thoughts?

Also every rootstock I bought grew...

How long should I wait before grafting the apples on them?

Pollination was poor here due to the weather . So probably the same or worse in your area . You may get some as I have but not a full crop . Wild plums and domestic plums have nothing . Even the self fertile Ayers pear has a poor set .

That vacuums I had a tremendous bloom going.

I see the cherry tree held onto its petals. I have only gotten one cherry in three years so it is about time to get a second one.
