I read some snow totals for out there in my office Wednesday. People were like, “Wha-what?!” There are some things that you count on in life. I’ve seen snow on memorial weekends but nothing that would stick or pile up to 17 inches least of all. What in the world?!

Yeah that chicken party was fun. Ladies very kind and gentle with the hens. Sentry was a little worried about Sunny Two as those two have become an item on the roost... such a sweet boy. Already majorly protective. We had some raspberries and one of the ladies treated him and he of course gave it to one of the girls. My friend said , “ no you eat it! “ I had to explain treating and of course they all loved hearing about that.

I love chickens.

Ohmygoodness! How much fun was that?! Love the floppy hats (and the lack of snow).

We got our power back on just before dark this evening after 2 days. Eighteen inches of seriously wet snow. Here’s proof. I don’t expect anyone to take it on faith... I wouldn’t.

Alas, we can’t go to Hawaii... tractor payments, you know. Thanks for the offer, though. We really NEEDED that tractor, for like, 20 years. Our driveway is now accessible to all, not just monster trucks. The backhoe was my condition for getting it. It’s been *so* amazing. Only it’s gonna be a heckuva thing to move south with...
