Surviving Minnesota!

Looks like it was a good time BC. Usually me and the hens have our own little party in the afternoons after work :) the Speckled Sussex are gone as of today and it's so so much quieter, they were constant naggers.
What??? They are my favorite birds.. they love to be held, follow me and tell me about their day.

Your SS are different, mine were friendly enough-don't get me wrong But they were not always good with the rest of the flock and I just have the one coop so they couldn't be separated. A couple of them would jump up for lap time and that was good but they were snots to others at times and constant noise, a very irritating voice. Maybe it was the parentage? hatchery birds, some with crooked toes. Anyway they are still living, further north.

Chinook winds are really fascinating. They can bring about huge temperature elevation over a very short period of time. Sometimes the change can be so abrupt that windshields, shop windows, etc., shatter because of thermal shock. Mostly though, they’re a very welcome gift. Just an incredible blessing.

Erli....my SS are like Ralphies. Absolute sweethearts. Not too noisy. But can be talkative. And have been fine with all my other birds. They are my best foragers! They will spend hours in my garage hunting bugs. I hate you had a bad experience.
Chinook....unknown in the south. We usually refer to something like that as straight line wind!
