I have found a place to chase deer for a couple more days...

I am going to camp out at EJBs!!!

Don’t let him know though.. the area up there is intensive harvest so I can shoot 3 Bambi’s!

Good luck Ralphie. I have not seen a deer in quite a while, but if one is seen here it is likely to be a buck. I used to have bow hunters on my property, but they became discouraged within the last few years at seeing few deer. The wolves have done quite a number on them, and any fawns born around here are quickly dispatched by the coyotes ?

I have to admit I was surprised to see intensive harvest deer available in zone 182.

I am pretty sure the wolves out number the deer there.

Maybe the new plan is to kill the deer so the wolves have to eat more dog.

It’s the DNR so who knows. The lake my cabin is on in greater metropolitan Togo, near the new municipal sewer treatment plant, was put in the DNRs intensive management program about 12-15 years ago..

We use to catch huge sunfish and nice size walleyes. After they decided to “manage” the lake for trophy walleye and large sunfish we have been unable to catch any walleyes... I think they moved to South Dakota... and a sunfish over 8 inches is rare .

Btw, we use to have ducks up there until the DNR decided to manage them too...

I wish they would start managing wolves. People have seen 26 in the pack up there. I assume that is a deer or two a day that had to die to feed them.

My dad, sister and I all tagged out within 24 hours, my dad yesterday afternoon, I got mine this morning, and my sister got hers this afternoon. A bit of a rush, we leave tomorrow morning for MN so we were trying to all fill our tags

Sisters 4x4 muley, before she left school early today I specifically told her not to shoot this one. I wanted to get him next year, I was home for about 20 minutes and she came in smiling and I said what'd you get and she said a buck. I knew by her smile she took this one.
