I am afraid toads are going to be like dinosaurs...a Failure....

all day on the ice and not much for fish...but I lost a rod......

Then an eagle made off with my northern from on the snow... I can’t win!

That is called a “portable fish house”.

it is quilted (insulated). You use a propane heater inside them. That is a small fish house.

They are really nice. Their drawback is trying to get them into the lakes early can be bad..

Speaking of Bad... @Bogtown Chick. How is the fish house removal going??

Last weekend didn't give us that warm day we thought we were getting. And this coming weekends forcast went from highs in the 38-40 range to 32 and 36. WE'LL Take it! DH on Sunday did more trench chipping and laid down 2 bags of softener salt. Yes the sunnies and Largemouths and crappies will run into brackish waters near our set up at ice out! DH checked on it yesterday with the sun and all yesterday. on the south side we have an exposed ski and east and west. Partial progress and Northside as suspected slightly better but some work required. Chain saws and chisels Saturday.
