We have severe weather heading our way. Will be close to 80. Completely frustrated since I'm under house arrest & was looking forward to catching up in the gardens.

Snowfall warning for today, I usually like winter but this year I’m kinda over it. I bought more seeds yesterday, some jiffys and a huge bale of pro mix...I will MAKE spring happen!
On the downside my greenhouse is trashed, ice shredded the poly in the front and one side; last year I bought enough glass to cover at least the front so I’ll have to get going on that asap

Spring starts today . Back from road trip for chicks and dux . Drakes only . Going to freezer camp . Grandson bought blue laced red chicks and I got 6 Legbar chicks as I was about out .

Been a while since I've check in to say Hi... Kids are out of school and we got word yesterday afternoon that we are out of work for at least 3 weeks. Incubator has been on here since the end of November. I know most people are just getting their chicks for the year, but I'm ready to be almost done hatching. Already kicked the standard cochins out with the australorps so eggs for fridge there. Silkies are still going good guns. Waterfowl and peafowl should start in May... Thinned out the last of my extra muscovies this last Monday.

Most of upcoming swaps and auctions are either cancelling or postponing. I've been trying to keep an ongoing list on my website of those.

Snowy and chilly here today north of the border, and the fan is on high today! Lots of drifting.

Guess I’ll order chicks on Monday, I’ve been looking forward to switching my flock to brahmas so I hope I can get them. I better stock up on milk replacer too as my foal is only days away now and moms not in great shape; at least I know I need to prepare so bad news won’t be a surprise
