Morning . Rain here . Falling temps afternoon and then snow plus 40 MPH gusts . A slip and slide day .
Fishing report ?

Fishing was ok. I went with a friend.

We got 13 keeper crappies, we probably threw back about the same number.

No sunfish or walleyes.

2 nice northerns.

We got 4 inches of snow overnight.

Not ready for the deep freeze, i have been spoiled so far this winter. I have one girl laying, she has given me about 5 eggs, nothing in the last 3 to 4 days though. The other 7 haven't started yet.

I fillet and fry the northern. It is my favorite fish, I prefer it to walleye. I like firm fish.

Morning . Big chill for awhile . Candled my eggs 12 good out of 14 . 2 were probably chilled too much before I collected them . Set 11 more .
