Surviving Minnesota!

I've had several ticks attached this year, they were bad here. Even had large egg shaped rashes after a couple deer ticks. I put oregano oil on the bite a few times a day and put 3-4 drops in water and drink it once a day. You have to get the good wild oil of oregano.

Morning . I checked the weather channel and 4.35 inches of rain so far this month . More coming . Flash flood watch . Humid here .
Last week

Had almost an inch and a half last night

In the last week we have had 1.9 inches of rain. The Lyme disease is no fun, and if one is not treated quite promptly the long term developments can be very troublesome. I know personally of several people who waited too long to go to the Dr. and ended up going to Mayo in one case. Only to be told that they waited too long and nothing could be done now. This resulted in severe pain on a daily basis.

Our Doctors have decided to take a less aggressive stance than they did before.

it use to be we were bitten and got antibiotics. Nothing bad happened.

Now they want to wait until we see an indication of Lymes, which is not very bright in my book. Lymes can imitate so many diseases. I know one young man that ended up in the ICU with permanent heart damage due to this new wait and see approach.

I understand the over use of antibiotics, but for us up here Lymes is a serious threat.

whenever, I go see the dr for any ailment I ask for a Lymes test. I am sure they think I am crazy, and maybe right, but it gives me peace of mind.

So I have a trailer hitch coming from Rock Auto . Nobody around here could get one . Wanted a 3 point box blade for the lake . Nobody could get one up north . Got online and checked farm stores . Found 6 at 4 different stores here within a hours drive . So I will haul one . Found me the riding mower I wanted at L and M in Bemidji . Covid has the supply chain messed up . DW is dragging her feet on kitchen cabinet order for the cabin . Don't know why . I will proceed without her input I guess . Time is ticking and shortages are everywhere .Need the cabinets in August .

How is the Lyme test these days, how long do you wait for results? The one for dogs takes like 5 minutes.
I stay away from the drug pushers if I can, except for the eye doc.
