Surviving Minnesota!

That's right, get some more to keep the ticks away from me too would ya!!

Actually I'd like to have some but can't because of the schity people coming around all summer. :somad  wish I lived deep in the woods....

I understand that, it takes a distance from neighbors or the right neighbor to not make a stink (I define stink as a Muscovy like irritant) and force you to get rid of them.

At least Guineas are edible!

Maybe to Eagles, Hawks and Owls

Maybe even the ocassional fox or yote.

Have you eaten them? really ?

I have not, yet. I plan too but I never seem to get enough to have a spare to eat. Everyone that has respond like Jerry did. The meat is suppose to be darker kind of pheasant like. I am hoping to get more pens to increase my numbers to the point I can eat some this year.

Guineas taste better than chicken !

I switched to Google Chrome to get rid of yesterdays site problems . Tried to buy a trial golden feather today but it keeps telling my email or password does not match .  Grrrrrr    :barnie

Mine does that once in a while. It is like my computer fails to remember the Username and PW. I run explorer for this site.

Yes, I am I have just turned the lights on them. I have not gotten an egg, but they have been segregated for a month. I will let you know when I set some eggs. I want a few more myself, I love their docile personalities and the color on them.

I look forward to seeing how your hatching goes. We will probably be looking for chicks in late March. I think I may pick up a couple brown leghorns with my CX when we get those. DW likes them too.

I think we will probably add 20ish birds to our layers this year. Our 12 grand older BAs will be 2.5 by falls end so we need to plan ahead for replacement layers plus we want some cushion in case our occasional eagle issue persists.

I heard Guinea is a French favorite!! Well... Its for fancy people... Muscovy is too. It is the best tasting duck ever. Even my grandpa said that and he hates duck meat!!

I am trying to anticipate how many I will need to have about 30 birds in my layer flock over winter. I wish the predators would put their orders in so I knew how many I I need to keep.

I plan to add the PC's, Susex, EEs and I want some doms. if my toads do not breed this year I am going to give up on them. Lost of work and not return for a few years in a row is getting old. BUT I knew I was fighting bad genetics when I started this.

Once we decide how many we want to add and what kinds I will let you know accordingly. I would just as soon get the SS from you over a hatchery if possible.

DW also liked the gold laced wyandotte
