It was 27 when I woke up today. I briefly considered getting out the spring clothes. I will have to post some pictures of my last season, when I was a BYC absentee, to help boost moral.
Klop Klop, we have been very lucky this year. We all just got over an 18-hour thing, a little puking, a lot of sleeping, then right as rain. Everybody I know is having the crud run through the whole family for like four-week intervals. I'm hoping you have what we had, and not that junk. The nurse at my pediatrician's office called recently to remind me to bring my little guy in for his well-child visit. I told her he'd be in when he's a year old. No way is my crawling, grabby, mouthy, perfectly healthy baby going into a clinic during flu season. Anyway, get well soon.
Is this your first season with Buckeyes, Bogtown? Did you have any males over winter? I am thinking of adding a group at some point in the future, probably not this year. Wondering how the males' combs do in the winter, frostbite wise. I am pretty sure I solved my frostbite issue, but had no single-combed types this winter to be sure. I think that free-range nestbox is a good idea. I will have to see if I can knock something together with The Boy...
Jerry, I love hearing about your EE projects. Can't always comment with anything useful, but I really enjoy your posts.
Hi, Holm. How many gallons of milk do you get from Lady every day? I think I have heifer envy.
