Surviving Minnesota!

He's a beautiful cat.

Dog food and cat food is formulated for cats and dogs and part of that formulation is added salt which is something chickens do not need. Do I think that a can thrown at 20-30 chickens once a week is going to hurt?- no. But I would spread it out so everybody gets some and not just the lead hen-which happens- lead hens eat to their fill first then the subordinates after. And I would not give until they've eaten some of their own food for the day. So serve maybe later in the day. And only once a week. That's what I would do. And that's what I've read other BYC ers have done or recommended.

I did not know that, but that is pretty cool. I still think you should talk to the archaeologists about it, I don't think they would shut down your farm over one arrowhead? (but don't blame me if they do) lol

I do not think so either. I am going to try and talk to someone, Arrowhead is the wrong term for this "stone" the proper one is Atlatl tip or point.
Yea, I think it is neat too.

I will be blaming you, We all know I could never blame myself!!

There is a breeder named Kristin Christianson in Iowa. But none in ND SD or MN that I can find. Search standard breed poultry. Its a website that I use and it is a really big help!!

I know Kristin. I have a list of what breeds she has, but I will have to look for it later. I am heading out to make sure my Cornish didn't kill each other last night. I had a turkey dinner to make and serve this afternoon since our oldest came up for the day. His GF was sick, so it was just our little immediate family. It was nice. The turkey, of course, is delicious!!
