I just got them all out of the box and their beaks dipped. They all seem lively so far. there are two of the gold comets that are runty, but nothing I am worried about. I ended up putting honey in their water. dont trust the older electrolytes as the packages were not sealed up since last use. I guess i am not too worried for them but will probably go to the other recipe provided when i change the water later. Enjoy!

Oh Klop: They are just beautiful. I might be leary of the honey myself. Honey contains small traces of botulism bacteria. Unharmful to adults but That's why children under 2 or 3 with developing immune systems shouldn't have it. I'm not sure how that warning translates to birds/ chicks.

Ivie: I may be late to commit to you on those birds for late May...so you may not want to deal with me. But they sound just beautiful and are types (egg color) I am looking for. I've committed to taking some birds from a classroom hatch...but if that fails for some reason I will let you know.
