Surviving Minnesota!

@duluthralphie , thoughts and prayers for the other Grandpa. 62 is too young.

I wish my neighbors would make me cinnamon rolls. Dangit. I may have to win them over with some cinnamon rolls once the Roosters start crowing :)

Ralphie, sorry to read about your son's FIL. It seems that he has been dealt a vey bad hand! It is difficult to understand why some of these things happen as they do?
All one can do is pray for a miracle and the courage to endure whatever happens.

Well, i ended up sucking it up and going out. IT ended poorly. I got my tractor going and got about 10 feet out of the shed before it blew a hydraulic hose and shot fluid everywhere! I left it sit to cool down and then pushed around some snow with my truck to make it easier to drive the bedding to the compost. THere was one drift that was just to big yet so i ended up having to get out my snowblower and carve a tractors width through it.

Time to roll up my cinnamon roll dough! it smells good!
ohh noo now im rethinking the whole farm thing...LOL... at least it ended well with the fresh cinnamon rolls...

Fortunately the hose didn't rupture it just popped off. Must have been working its way off over time. Get it all put back together no problem.

I had a bit of a sentimental moment while doing the work on it. As I have mentioned, I am the 4th generation owner of this tractor. As I was working the bolts loose to take the hood off I was thinking about how many times my dad, grandpa; and great grandpa had probably done the same I've the last 60 years. then also the man who would have assembled the tractor back when things were actually made by real, hard working people.

I can honestly get anything fixed on this tractor with 4 standard SAE wrenches and a flat head screw driver. How many things can you say that about these days!?!
