Points for the crapper in the yard for sure.. BUT if you set an Ice Cream bucket near the sink and write on it "use this to flush with"... And actually get your wife to flush the toilet with it, You will get double points!

We have been using a plastic beer pitcher that came home from the county fair beer garden last year. How does that rank?

And on another topic, one BR will like. The StarTribune yesterday had an article about Minneapolis loosening their rules on chicken ownership. You no longer need to get the million signatures BR needed to get.

There was even a process to get a rooster. I wonder when other cities/town will follow?


I was going through the different chicken rules and found the South Dakota ones interesting, Aberdeen has a rule the chicken must be 150 feet from any building other than the owners. My son lived in Aberdeen for a few years. The lots in Aberdeen are bout 75 ft wide. In the majority of the city no one could own a chicken. Weird for a rural area like Aberdeen is located in. I found the same distance (some 100ft) in most SD cities..


Another good reason for me to not live in a city..

Good morning all! Had a delayed start this morning. Saw a car smoke a huge deer on the road this morning. Luckily everyone was fine besides his car. It happened right by a house that dumps corn all over their yard to get deer and wildlife to come up and eat. My wife and I have both had close calls there and are irritated by how irresponsible the person is feeding deer near the highway. However I don't know what to do about it. I told the guy about it and said he should tell the sheriff when he showed up. Maybe they will do something about it.

Maybe they could put up "deer crossing" signs in a safe area so the deer stop crossing there..
