Surviving Minnesota!

Somebody had a few too many adult beverages last night and regrets it this morning.

The chickens don't care haha i opened the coops this morning and they all ran out to embrace the day. They are all back at the grass patches marveling at the green

Oh man aussiegal!!

Which alpaca is it? I love them all! When I deleted photos off me phone, I even made sure I kept the one of Judy and the alpaca. They are such neat animals.

The new pup is a cutie. Hours and hours of fun work getting him to tow the line ahead.

Kloppers Your question has a ton of answers. There is no way I could pick out just one thing.

Maybe it is the god-complex they instil in me. They live, die, eat, drink, run free and almost everything else when I want them to!

They run to my feet to worship me, they give me offerings (eggs). If they offend me they pay with their lives and I eat their flesh.

And for all the god-complex stuff, they humble me, when I am cleaning their pens, tending to their wounds or their babies.

Most of you will not understand this, but if I am ever get a swelled head, I have Ethel, (turkey hen) that will come over stand toe to toe at me, and look up. Then let me have a 10 minute verbal barrage of everything I did wrong, everyway I have wronged her and what I should do different. After it is all over, she will let me hold her and she allows me to groom and pet her for my pleasure. BTW She lets me know it is her letting me pet her.

It's Eric "The Red" with the white face.

Coffee, can't be the worse Grandma ever; Buff Orp it is then

. The things we do for the Grands. He is settling in. He plays hard with my daughter's dog, which is good for both of them. He has already been learning several tricks to keep him mentally busy. later I'll string together individual tricks into routines. How's you new pup doing?

Ralphie how was your day with the Grands? You know how that sounds, that it takes a turkey to humble you?

But really, critters are humbling in general. I would love a couple of turkeys here, but now isn't the time & what would I do with them? I do need to talk to you about camp day.

Enjoy this beautiful weather all!

You know how that sounds, that it takes a turkey to humble you? I am so humble, I cannot be further humbled. I am the best at being humble. They do not come more humble than me, Ethel is my most trusted advisor, just ask her.

You would do what the rest of us do with turkeys, hug them. hold them. talk to them, eat their eggs and babies. Turkeys are the coolest birds around. They follow you like a dog, they talk to you like a parrot. I can understand the timing being wrong. Turkeys do take a tad more time than chickens, they demand it, they want attention. You can come and talk to my turkeys anytime you want!

I do need to talk to you about camp day. Sounds good, you going to want to set up your own camp day or just join in the ones here? I am really hoping to get some toads for camp birds, but getting the CXs to reproduce is not as easy as it sounds. I am thinking I need Holm here to perform AI on the girls.

I am thinking Bert and Bertha were a miracle

Enjoy this beautiful weather all!

Went out for lunch and chicken supplies after church today. Thought I would get gas and a car wash while the weather is nice... Turns out everyone else thought the same. 10 cars deep and still waiting. I hope to get home sometime next week at least

The kids love counting how many cars are waiting in the line at the car wash then we estimate how long of a wait the last person has. They always find this exciting. :)
