Surviving Minnesota!

No idea, couple white ones...I also tried geese. Both were not my cup of tea. They were filthy.

I do not really have a place for them, if I had a pond of some kind I would like them. I used a kiddy pool for them, it was ugly.
Some city slickers just can't handle a little mud.

She is doing a great job mothering him and he is nursing on his own without her protesting!!

They were both laying down with their backs to me but I still wanted to show you. She is right by his side!

SURPRISE!!!!

The other Hereford had her calf this morning!!! We were fortunate enough to watch the birth! AMAZING!! She has been nothing but a nurturing, doting mother ever since he was born. Yep, another boy!!

He has his momma's eyes!

So I need to say hello and welcome to @psladky and @lilbear412 !!!

@duluthralphie I think the simple write up on basic care is more than enough. If folks who get chicks don't learn how to care for them properly before they get them what can you do? It is their responsibility to know how to care for them. Obviously anyone who has had chicks before knows to expect loss. It just happens. You are being more than gracious for offering to replace them. I would head what Destiny said about how she handles her sales of chicks. Good luck with dealing with them from here on out.

I love those calves!!!! Congrats!! 5 weeks and we should have babies!

I got to see the new cows yesterday!! Oh my gosh... There is a baldy cow and she has tiny DARK red dots all over her face! They r all pretty. There is one really old one who is in tough shape but the guy got tgem from an auction. He is a cow jockey... He buys gets them back in shape a little and then. They dont want to be touched but let us get within a few feet of them. They r still nervous simce they r seperate from the other cows.

Yesterday I fed two trays of fodder and they ate it all!! They LOVE it!! I am worried for my muscovy drake.... He is madly in love with the CX hen... He follows her every where and when she lays down he lays down right next to her and preens her!! I worry that if somethingbhappens to her he will get depressed...

Also I am thinking of selling my pair of african geese or the breeder quad of Pekins. Let me know if anyone is interested.
