Do you know what color eggs they should lay?

I see a spot on the head on one of the males, is that the determining trait or is it the chipmunk stripes or something else?

But I do think we r going to have an earky spring! I am working on getting all my curriculams done before April! Lots of stuff going on starting then! We are putting up a new lean to for haying equipment and building a nee cattle chute... Thats just part of it. Its going to be a busy summer! Before we know it we will be haying!

Left 2eggs Legbar right eggs EE . There is Legbar in the mix . The top 2 are male I think . These are from the single barred male so not real accurate as some may not have barring . I hatched these trying for a crele male with 2 barring genes . He is the cockerel in pictures 2 and 3 . Eggs are slightly green tint . There is some wheaten Ameraucana in the mix which shows in the light chick .

These young lads are going to have to get up pretty early in the morning to keep up with jerryse it appears.
Jerry nice photos of Jim, Mike and yourself in the current Ameraucana newsletter. You have a good moustache going there. I might have to get serious about cultivating one of my own?
Which of the chicks in the photo are pullets?

Holm, as relates to the inquiry about whether cattle learn and come to their name, in my experience all cows know their name and come to it. Cows should have one of two names "Boss" or "Bossy".
That makes it easy for them and has always worked for me. What do you think Ralphie?

Our cows come running when we call COME BOSS! But they have seperate names to identify since #3450 was not that good of a name

When we r walking through the cows and checking them we always "Hey Bossy" or "Hey Girls" it calms them down. But get all these cows to come to seperate names is hard! So those are the three things we usually call them by. When we r petting the ones that let us pet them we call them by there names like Angel, Teardrop and Lady.

When we were kids, Holm's age" every cow had a name, but we always called " come boss" or "bossy" if we wanted them to come.. I could tell you some of the pet names my Dad use to have for the cows during milking time. He used these names when one kicked, or swatted him across the face with a wet poop filled tail..

I am afraid to use the actual pet names would get me put back on double secret probation again... BTW Bellybutton was NOT one of the names...



Jerry your Creamette eggs look greenish are they more green than blue or is the photo off. I have all blue eggs from the CLB's but I get one green one.
