Hi everyone... Very depressing here.... Out of the 50+ eggs I set only two goose eggs were viable. No turkey or duck eggs. I hope u have good luck with your Muscovy eggs Minnesotanice. Although idk if I set Muscovys. I think it was all Pekins. Anyways if all goes well I should have two cute little goslings available in 2 weeks.... I think... I dont remember. And I am thinking hard about the turkeys. Idk if I should keep them or sell them.... Decisions decisions....
Minnesotanice I talk to Al from Als quackery sometimes. He helped me figure out what color my scovys were.
I've actually been talking to Al a lot on FB lately! He's such a cool guy. We've been talking genetics. He's sold out of Muscovies until Fall, but I'm going to get some Blues from him next year. Maybe a silver as well if he has them. It'll give me (Okay, DH) time to get another run and coop built.
I haven't checked the eggs yet, but my bator took a dip last night and I woke up to it at 98. I hope it wasn't like that too long. The temp was perfect before I went to bed. If I start incubating more scovy eggs, I'm dumping the styro bator and getting a Brinsea or at least something more dependable. I'm sick of the heavy temp fluctuations.
If Mr. T needs a home.....I know of a little boy who would love him.....Lol
