@Siggie I love the look of recycled but it is harder to work with. Pulling old nails. Cutting and puzzle piecing boards. Filling holes. Bending metal against it's will. New materials are def much easier to work with-- Less labor intensive. I did it this way because I am cheap. Lol. Plus I like what I like and am stubborn with my visions. It was one of the hardest most overwhelming things I've ever done, honestly. Lost 17 lbs. d*** I should build another...
Are you sure they are not just saddle broke moose?

I love Finland! We spend a week at Crooked Lake resort every summer. We basically survive off of beer and food from the Trestle Inn. Last summer, I won the coverall at bingo and got 3 bottles of Boones Farm! It was the best day of my life.

I hear yah! But I am the same way....it was a stubborn idea on my part because my husband said we would go broke with all the things I want to do here. So I started collecting ... basically everybody elses garbage! Windows, patio doors, concrete blocks....I bet my husband doesn't think it's so funny now because all that stuff is stored in HIS garage LOL! They are building a church in town and I was going to go ask to sift through their dumpster they have there...they are throwing away perfectly good wood!!! (maybe I am insane)
Dixie plucked herself two years ago. But this year she has not done that for this brood. Maybe its been warm enough. ...? Plus I collected some clean stray fluffy looking feathers and gave them to her to nestle her eggs in. I really tend to her needs when she's setting there day after day for me.When broody, do Silkies pluck out their breast feathers as well?
