Surviving Minnesota!

I have 9 hens that lay. Out of 30 chickens. (13 are chicks, three are roosters, and two are pullets. Then there is a bantam hen that never layed, and two five year old hens.) I get about 5-7 eggs a day right now. Marshmallow lays every day

She really is the bestest (I know that's not a word) chicken.

I love it! I wish I had those skills. I have a thing for the cafe racer style bikes. I was just telling DH how my next bike will be a Triumph or *clears throat* a Norton.

My hubby rides a 1800 VTX although he's bee eyeing up a new Victory. I have Honda Shadow 750, but it's been ripped apart, painted, and modified. Last summer, I finally got the Cobra pipes I've been drooling over for years. Unfortunately, I'm too pregnant to ride at the moment. I should be able to get some Fall runs in after baby comes.

Yup, I'll walk around to his house later today and get some close-ups. You can pick me up at the Anoka county jail anytime after 5pm.

Congrats on the new hatches!

I've noticed a change as well. Yesterday I had to have a talk with them all. Also, my two best laying hens have gone to the dark side....a.k.a.......they're broody.
if you manage to avoid moving to downtown Anoka today, you will need to change your way of thinking...

Your science is all messed up...

The Sooner you ride bike, the sooner the baby comes the sooner you can ride more bike....So simple!

BTW ,,How do you dare have Ducks while you are pregnant? They carry the Zika Virus . Many scientist think the Ducks gave it to the Mosquitoes in the first place..... Ducks cannot be trusted.....

I need to go check the English brats.. See if they have any eggs for Erli.... They have been kind of stinkers lately.

Any ideas on how to break a broody in this dang hot weather........... I cannot have the PC hen ruining my life any longer...I want eggs from her...

I am tempted to dump a 20 pound bag of ice over her head

Also go to the turkey thread to see my latest bellybutton.. He is leaving tomorrow before he gets any worse!

Ralph...you need to post P2's picture over here! Cutest thing ever! And is wearing leggings!

I would but I am being selfish this time. He is so cute and show so much attitude I want him to be in the running for the "picture of the week" If I post it twice I will get the "ovations" split and the moderators won't nominate him.... (boy that sounds vain, even to me...)

But that's my reason for posting only once...

Here he is

My wife just called and he is leaving us in an hour, I thought I had him another day,

Ha hah, my Doctor isn't my greatest fan at the moment. I was out 4 wheeling the other day. I think you're trying to get me in more trouble :)

You have to be messing with me about Ducks and the Zika virus....

I'm trying to break two hens that have gone broody. I have them in my garage under a 40 watt light at the moment. I feel bad because I'm sure they're not too happy with the added heat and humidity outside. I don't have any better ideas myself. Wish I did.

Gone most of the day . Got a shot in the left knee today .Feels great now . Got work to do so time to quit fooling around waiting for the knee to mend . My poppies are still blooming orange double Oriental type . Very common around here . I have had other colors but they eventually die out . These orange ones just take care of themselves . People pass them around .

Oh on long lived chickens . I have seen 15 plus year old bantams . Grandma had a mixed flock that had white silkie , Golden Seabright and Millie Fleur in them . When she passed she had not hatched any in 15 years. She and I did those in her old kerosene incubator when I was in middle school .
