Ivie was talking about going to Hawaii. But she was going to bring me. So either she ditched me and is drinking her umbrella drink or she's busy crafting and creating something wonderful her in Icy Minnesota...?. She was on my Landscaping thread...that's the last I hear of her earlier this week.

@lvie where are you? Has anyone talked to her? Ralphie have you? She hasnt been on for a whole week?

Oh No! I am so soooorrrrrryyyyyy! I didn't think you missed me? Or is it Hawaii?

I will not let this happen again - I think.

Today I did not clean my coop but I did dig up the entire floor (Phew! Stinky! That's why I did it) and spread pine shavings into it (I am out of pine needles) and combined it all. My Chickies are happy!

My new pullets from last September - you know - the lovable ones - are beginning to lay. Sweeties. I was in the run just the other day and turned to find one waiting at my feet for lovins. Snugglers. I don't get it. BUT! I am getting 10 to 13 eggs a day. They are being snatched up by customers and boy are they fresh.

I love chickens.

There is one that is ready to be processed. She has been a PITA since the very beginning. When I began this adventure two years ago (almost) she was a PITA and remains a PITA. I am serious about her going to the process plant.

HOW ARE EACH OF YOU? Klop - your plow working. BogTown - I am in! When do you want to go? We will sit on the beach and talk 'chicken' and chicken books. Are you getting this fantastic January thaw.

I need to go read past posts. I have made myself a BIG Gingers and its probably the first alcohol I have had in a long, long time. Whats up with that?

Does everyone know I want to be a BogTown? I love her flock? Except for missing Daisy. I will always miss Daisy and I dunno. Some things just hit us in the heart. Who knows what it will be but it just stays attached. I miss Daisy! I love the diversity of your flock BogTown.

The birds all came out today at noon- when it got above zero. They got some kale and an over ripe mango. Just so they could feel tropical. They were dying for their dust bin! So cute. They lined up and jumped in took turns. They usually do it after a cold snap. I spent some time down at the run as it looks like we'll be losing our lily today or tonight. She's got the tippy wing look to her. She did fight for a mango piece but she's about done. Cold weather was hard on her. She's an internal layer. Poor thing. Kids said their good byes.
She's a tough bird but I think this is it.

Ohhhhh bogtown - who is lily? which one? how old?

Looking ahead at our weather, it appears we can plant pineapples next week.

We have 4 days with the lows above freezing with rain coming next Friday, Sat, Sun and Monday.
My bananas are fruiting!! Whatever that means. . . . . time for a Mikes?

Agree on all points ralphie. So I should probably say yes but there's a lot of buts in mine too. Right now I have just one hen approaching 5 years old. I think she'll make it. But longevity is rare I can see and really a big show stud rooster that kicks out the most beautiful chicks ever might get special considerations for too much calcium.

What is she Bogtown? Does she still lay?

Ralphie we will get you some cats ASAP! They killed all the squirrels here. So the squirrels moved back to the back pasture and only dumb young ones come to the yard.... They only make that mistake once.
