Just a bruised bottom and loss of pride so relatively minimal damage. Son was not so lucky today, he slipped and fell on the evening bus. Yes ....first day on the bus. Back to ortho tomorrow for x-rays at 8 am. We will find out if it's displaced. Judging by his pain it doesn't look good.

Oh no... My thoughts are with you guys. Ouch!

We live in Princeton, 45 minutes north of the twin cities.

Hey BC I see your record low was -42 in 1996 for this date . This is not helping me convince DW to make a move to full time resident . I do not know why . She stays inside where it is warm anyway .Still assembling the sawmill . Should be done in a few more days . Going hunting today so no assembly today . Next Saturday it should start freezing the ground again . So maybe I can get some logs down to the yard and cut some lumber . Got to learn how to run it .

Morning...in the spirit of early morning posts....

We are going into the 70's this weekend. Daffodils are up about 3". Few crocus blooming. Helleboroes blooming. All hopeful little signs of spring down here.

One of my turkeys, Annie, is in full molt. No idea why at this time of year. We've had an odd winter. Much higher than normal temps. Maybe that has something to do with it. Shes one big walking quill.

Over on the turkey thread we are getting sporadic reports of hens starting to lay from all over the states. Compared to last year they are off to a slower start. For those waiting to incubate, its like waiting for a pot to boil.

We are trying to marry off Holm. We have about three folks actively involved. And we are all showing up at any future neptuals. Of course this hangs on his ability to saddle a horse. Poor kid.....but he's holding his own!

Morning, and technically I win, because I was on the Turkey Color Calculator, making bacon and drinking coffee for the last 45 minutes....

I think that is a good committee. Now for the operating rules. Each Member gets one vote with the exception of the chair man who gets five votes and has veto power.

That should solve all disputes in a fast and fair manner.

I used it yesterday and read Kevin's post on it so I tried it a few times this morning. It worked for me. But I did some easy crosses. With the exception of the JJ and Ethel cross, I thought that would be a hard one with the BbDdRr genotype.
