So is the eel pout festival going on now . Could get sloppy with recent rain and warm up . 

No large vehicles allowed to stay on the ice after noon on Friday. Only atv and snowmobile traffic allowed during the event. And then vehicles are allowed to get ice houses off again Sunday. Saturday a truck and ice house went through at the walker city access. The shoreline ice has degraded and especially at this access. The city access there is part of an ice road across Walker Bay we call the Onigum freeway. It cuts off 15-20 miles for the folks that live on the onigum road. It's slick as can be. I've driven it. But all the salt and sand from cars and such through the winter takes its toll at these access points. And Saturday the sheriffs dept was fishing out that rig. Eel pouters will be challenged this year. It's later by almost a week or two I feel. Not sure why they changed the dates...?

Ok I'm impressed. Did a louse check on the birds. The birds (non laying) with ivermectin pour on are clear. Then skeptically I checked the NuStock/ eucalyptus (layers)... much to my happy surprise they are clear as well!!! Yay. I also have done fresh garlic in the water and garlic powder in the feed. I have a pretty hostile sulfuric environment going I guess. And with persistence this natural approach ( to save my eggs from a withdrawal period) has worked to my surprise. So far.

Plan of attack is applications of the NuStock compound every other day this week again. Just in case some nits are still hatching. And the non layers got their 2nd dose of ivermectin today. Fresh shavings today. More garlic this week too. Yay!

Good Morning.

Came home to our dog, Maya, in the house. She's never allowed in. My mom was on a call and heard her start crying and she must have slipped or something. She cant walk on her back left leg(I think it's her left) so we have a vet appointment scheduled for tomorrow.

I believe it's this coming weekend, bad ice. No vehicles are allowed on the ice, I wouldn't think anyone would want to be on it, walking. It's going to be a windy cold weekend. Don't know who'd want to be out there...

The lakes ate opening up around here. Saw some open water on Orano. Saw some idiot with a subatomic on a lake near buffalo (I forget which lake) Sunday. I think those idiots should get a huge fine if they fall through in weather like this. Use your noggin.almost 2 weeks abover 32, some days in the 60s?? They are stupid.

I think those idiots should get a huge fine if they fall through in weather like this. Use your noggin.almost 2 weeks abover 32, some days in the 60s?? They are stupid.

You just have to look at the lakes as you drive by and can see they aren't safe, sure one area might be but the next isn't. Very stupid to be out there. If they get a fine they should just be happy they are not dead
