Surviving Minnesota!

Well, I got into your kitchen and didn't have time to shout hello before a masked 60yr old man from Orrock jumped out from behind the door, tied me up, put me in the trunk, and drove back to a place with a ton of turkeys before throwing me into the basement and muttering about me needing aversion therapy due to my twisted mindset of duck loving....

So yeah. That's why I didn't stay.

Sounds like a smart man!

Ralphie - I think you'd better go check your basement. First for BantyChooks, because it is time to untie her (and I assume she is gagged) and ungag her and then check for ducklings before you take her home. Next time Banty, we must not discuss our plans where THAT Orrock man can read them. No wonder Judy does not get a break! She tells him what she is about to do before she does it and I bet he foils her plans. I wonder what Ralphie was like as a youngster . . . . .

Morning. It's warmed up here already right now it's 35. Cows are happy they are laying on the hill tops. I will start saving eggs thss weekend to hatch from the cochins. I still have to AI one of them. Tried last night and failed, I think i will have to trim the male because I can't see what I'm doing at all

We'll make margaritas next on an undisclosed date and an undisclosed location....

Good morning everyone. 23 degrees this morning. I doubt my waterers even froze!

Hurrah!

I sold another 2 dozen eggs this week. (I always like to keep 2 dozen in the fridge for me) With last week's sales and this week's sales I should have a bag of layer feed paid for from Fleet Farm. LOL. Egg Money is stashed in a Ball Mason Jar in my bay window by the kitchen sink. DH just shakes his head at me. I'm way in the red with this chicken hobby, but I like making a show of what little green we get from it.

Sylvia, My 5 year old SLW was on a nest this morning! She is so fabulous. I have no idea if she'll leave me an egg or not. But her comb had a bloody scab on it and maybe Junior and Sylvia know something I don't know. Go Sylvia! She hasn't laid an egg in over a year....so I will wait on bated breath. She is still leading the old hens around but the Blue Ameraucanas also like following her. I think they realize she knows what she's doing. Junior crows and crows at them. But will not cross the snow to join. LOL.
Snow should shrink for him here the next 4 days. Maybe he can get across soon.

Well seems everyone is out enjoying the warm up . I was left unsupervised again and what did I do . I fell asleep in the chair after lunch . Such a disappointment . A missed opportunity !
