Surviving Minnesota!

We had beef cattle but we would drive to the neighboring farm for milk out of the bulk tank. It was so cold and delicious. I remember seeing the milkman come there with his shiny truck. Nice and clean. And I would always wonder why Heinie, the diesel fuel delivery guy, couldn't keep his truck as shiny as the milk man. Kids are fussy sometimes. Lol..

As I recall all the redheaded kids were blamed on the milkman .

Good morning everybody.

Last night I unplugged my heat lamp. It gets so dang hot with it so I figured I would see if the babies still need it. Nope they dont. All were laying comfortably in the brooder and there was no pile ups so thats good.

Also my Guineas are in trouble. After seeing two pearls tag team on my Best Buckeye rooster we decided they are moving out. They are such pains in butt. Being we have no close neighbors they are getting kicked out and whatever happens happens.

ILL - you have redhair? EVERYONE but me had red hair in my family. I am the 'lil indian.' One has strawberry red, then carrot red and then auburn red. Then there is me. LOL. I am special.

Have a good day chickeners. I am going to run around and get a few things done as this is going to be a run around day in a vehicle.

Yes i do have red hair. Only one out of my siblings and parents

Good morning everyone.i heard ralphies doms are the best wish we lived closer. But I think I'm going to run a random coop this time around. Though I still want my bbs orps back really considering a token jersey giant.

On the red head talk: all of the grand daughters so far on my side are red heads and I carry the gene as I have a red shade to my hair. Had a temp crown yesterday and the dentist forgot.. it takes a lot more pain meds, novacaine ECT for me.rest of the reds have that issue?

Back to crazy coop. Any suggestions on a flock for a most colorful egg basket?

I'm actually probably closer to blonde...but it is what it is. Strawberry blonde

This is my egg basket/carton. In there I have a BLRWyandotte egg, Blue and Lavender Ameraucanas, and a Welsummer. I would like to get a darker egg than the Welsummer and thus am pleading a case for Black Copper Marans breeding cage for Ralphie.

This is how I know spring is here.

I present my new breed the "Naked Necked Sussex"

Oh man. Lol

Those are beautiful blue eggs! Pure Ameraucanas are on my list. I haven't seen welsummer eggs before - I'm pretty impressed.

I'd love some more BCMs......ralphie.....

Pure Ameraucanas were on my list for a long time too. Love them. Jerry is our Ameraucana guy.

Welsummers are from MinnieChickMama. Gorgeous friendly sugar sweet personality birds. Large single comb on the roos though...
