Surviving Minnesota!

Jerry, you have no idea how sore and tired this old donkey is!

I hurt everywhere, I am too old for this many birds on testing day. I have been bitten, beaten and worn down. I still have 80 more birds to go.

I had a bad experience on one turkey hen, I could not get a sample from her and blew out the veins in both wings. I have a clotty looking mess of blood in the tube I will be taking in tomorrow. I am going to beg the State Vet and lab to give me 2 months for her veins to heal before I try again.

She is a small Royal Palm hen, I a going to try a very fine needle on her next time. I could barely see her veins. I have not monkeyed much with my RP hens. I did not realize what a small bird they are. I have PC roosters that are larger than she is.

Head is not aching, did not ache all day yesterday. Steroids are great, they should be over the counter for those of us at SS age.

Annnnnnnd, coop update. Brooder room is the pink room with the door open!

I would love this coop
