Surviving Minnesota!

do you usually try to rejoin the calf with the Momma again this early on?  Or is the bonding time pretty short?

At this point it is likely too late. It is actually quite common for a cow to take the biggest calf and leave the smallest behind. It looks like the cow had cleaned that calf it just knew what was best for the biggest and that wasnt to take both... Idk... I have no clue what the heck is going through their minds... We have only had the one set of twins but luckily that cow took both calves.

Hello, I'm from southern Minnesota, this is my first time getting pullets, we have had broilers for years. This year I wanted to try fresh eggs, since we go through enough eggs. We currently have 15 barred rock, 3 week old, pullets. I am working on finishing up their coop, hoping the middle of May get them into their new home.

Not my doings, all Duane Urch, I just bred the two best roosters to the hens out of his eggs, as much as I would like to take the credit, I can't.
