Layers, nice job at the track meet. Looks like the orphan calf is doing well ?

BC, alcohol in large quantity and strong dosage will assist with sleep but may result in headache.

There is just a dusting of snow here at this point, but the weather prognosticators are saying we will receive 3 to 5 inches. That is depressing. It seems as though Siggie may get even worse weather ?

Ed so far it's all melting here. Glad for that. I hope it stays just this rainy mix. Too warm for it to stick. They said the worst would be this morning. I think That should do it right?!

I actually had a knitting project I wanted to finish and did a stupid thing drinking caffeine at midnight. I had ideas swimming and searching after the knitting was long done. Plus a good book. Rookie mistake. I will sleep like a baby tonight. No cocktails required I have a feeling.

Lots of Turkey hunters around this weekend. We're not really reknown for Turkey hunting around here. But there are some groups of birds getting up in good numbers that we see around. Just saw two hens and a jake coming into work. So glad they didn't get them all.

I like seeing them thrive here. Pretty cool.

We have a band concert tonight for the twins. No mushroom hunting......

I ordered 3 mattress off Amazon that were in a box. The thing about them though is that they are MEMORY FOAM, Ralphie! I ordered two twins for the boys that share a room and a full to replace our eldest DD's old mattress. They all seem to like them and I got them last fall. You can flip them too! It was very convenient and cost effective.

Well this is ironic. Today I made my egg delivery. And my friend who buys has a queen pillow top she wants to get rid of and DS wants to switch out of bunks. So There WE GO!

Now if I can find somebody wanting to get rid of a perfectly good King Mattress! Ha!

Memory foam does make you sweaty. I have a really nice contoured pillow with it. And I loved it for a while. I noted my head would get too hot. Weird I know. But I like a cooler room to sleep in so the hot pillow thing just was not good for me.

Sprinkles off and on all morning then a steady rain at lunch . Nothing now . More Later tonight . Then they say no more this week .

Got feed this morning . After lunch nap . Nothing better to do .We put memory foam in the camper over the beds . So much better than those cushions alone . I thought it was the work making me sore . Came home and realized it was the beds . Soon I will have a place for real beds in a cabin .

Grafting looks good . Some are starting to bud . Too early to declare success but hopeful . Some weeds are dying from the spray . More needs to be sprayed . Need to spray fruit trees . Looks like a good set of sweet cherries .

Huh, maybe that's the cause of my backaches....

One of these decades I'll have to splurge on a new mattress and see if it helps.

Hello All!!

Thanks for all the compliments on my chicks, they are a hoot! No casualties yet...keeping my fingers crossed. I have one hen that keeps pecking the chicks and the broodies don't attack her like all the other hens. I have decided that particular hen is higher on the pecking order. It was amazing because I watched her peck a chick and the little guy squawked at her and stretched its little neck out trying to look bigger! She pecked him again and again the chick jumped back at her!!! I think that one will rise quickly in the pecking order

It has rained/snow/sleet all day but nothing has stuck woohoo! of course the pasture is a swamp right now but it comes with the season I guess...

@duluthralphie yes I have cuddled every last one of them!! I couldn't help it!
