You're making it hard for me to stick with one breed.
You are an evil lady.Might I also state that they don't eat very much and poo very little. My yokahomma cock is very protective of his 2 girls and he withstands petting, snuggling and catching very easily. The 2 pullets are still a little skittish. Yokie has been trained that if he wants to free range, we will not be running after him with a net to catch him. My daughter nearly has him trained to return to his pen with, "Yokie where are your girls, lets go find the girls." Am I embarrassed when she yells this across the yard....just a little.Thank God the nearest neighbors are my inlaws.

Nice to see you back @KlopKlop! House looks good.
We survived the weekend with all the out of town guests. Day two of school is going ok for us here. Can't wait for the flow of the routine to return around here.
Had to unexpectedly send one of the cows to freezer camp. She would get out constantly under the fence. was tearing the whole thing to bits and showing her daughter how to. Off she went on Sunday. Watching the daughter closely to see what she is gonna do now that her momma is gone. Stay put or want a trip to camp. Just when I thought things were going smoothly the cows decide they need attention. Good Grief!
Chickens are slowing down some on the egg laying. The meat birds are looking like they are growing steadily but not hastily. I am glad for that. Aiming for the end of October to butcher them.
I was wondering if anyone has advice to help out with slug removal from the garden. I tried the beer in saucer thing with zero success. Tried DE but that only works when it is dry which is never around here. Would have to replace everyday and I have 2 large gardens. and I would need a semi load of it. They only sell the small cans at the store. So not sure what to do. They are everywhere eating everything. Can't get them under control.
I pity you.Sounds like Jerry is driving up TODAY! With more birds por moi.
Chicken Math is going on in my coop right now...shoot.
