Your dads garden must be large! I didn't grow any taters this year because I put too many flowers in the garden.

Why do you waste valuable garden space on something inedible?

The WWD is always trying to steal my garden space for flowers...This can never be allowed!

BTW You should have heard her howl when I turned the tables on her and planted 2 pepper plants in her flowers.....Picture to follow...

I have to grudgingly agree on this.

Flowers don't feed you and you still have to weed them in 80* heat.

The flowers feed birds and bees and help the pollinators find the garden

Still can't eat the flowers..unless they are sunflowers.....

BTW an interesting (maybe side note).... My beans have not given me any beans all summer until the last 2 weeks...

now I am beaned out from eating beans every day.

The deer are still taking more than their share though...

Our garden didn't even germinate this year. No idea. The soil is pretty mediocre, but still.....

One more reason to get the chickens...

I'd recommend zucchini.
