Jerry, I ma not sure of the id on Honey Mushrooms, I hope to some day.

I went mushrooming yesterday, the heat was a killer. I did not find one mushroom to pick and very few at all of the inedible kind. I think I walked 3-4 miles through the swamps and woods. Nada darn one!

I went to a remote island in the swamp we use to hunt as kids. It was great to be there the first time in 45 years or so, BUT the walk was way worse than I recall.

The trees were a lot bigger than I remembered too. We use to get firewood off the island (way back then) but we always went in when the swamp was frozen and Dad would use the tractor to clear the brush to the island. It appears the paths he pushed ope with the tractor have overgrown some and I had a hard time finding them.

Chicken wise nothing new. I have my anti-dux dungeon,,,I mean classroom all set up for Holm...

Hey Ralphie - I thought of you yesterday in that you need to walk my river bank for mushrooms. You can have any you find. And then next year maybe you can do it earlier so they are all good. I know there is/was some good ones. I just am not into mushrooms that much.
