Surviving Minnesota!

There is still time to get a entry form in to the Mike for the Hutch show........ We need more Cream legbars, especially roosters. I can test the bird today if needed!
Me, I want to go!

Sigh... Maybe next decade, when I wouldn't have whining rugrats in the car.

I have the WWD cast a spell and the rain just runs off the driveway.
Can she do that for snow too??

About 2 hours after that gorgeous sunrise the day turned gray and today is just as gray. Come on Mom Nature! Maples are dropping leaves now and it's officially past peak colors up here. It was a gorgeous color week despite the rain though. Have to say.
Chickens are out. Helping Dad with his wood pile. Winterizing the boat. Dinner with friends tonight.

If the mail people do their job, my entry for hutch will be there. I called the show secretary and explained that the state hasn't got my official paperwork back, and that our state vet and your state vet wanted testing done within 30 days of the show( could be just ours too, mom did all the calls as a favor. She has the degree so she has more swing) he said that I could send proof that testing was done and negative with my entry and I can send the official paperwork when it comes in. Esther is bringing 3 Marans for the junior show. The two Birchen are very good types, but the cockerel isn't well marked. However, splash Marans have random patterns as far as I know, and this pullet also has excellent type, so the splash might do alright.
I'm bringing 7 cream Legbars. 2 cocks, 3cockerels, 2 pullets. Esther is so excited to come see the TURKEYS. She will want to hug all the turkeys who will let her.
If I remember correctly splash cannot place any higher than best variety?

Have I mentioned how much I dislike you today???

Such a yucky day, I have not even let the birds out yet...
