Saw a buck chasing a doe on neighbors property . Then about 4:30 I hear a shot over that way . Hmm I think that buck is not going to be seen again . Hmm but first gun season is 18-20 .

OH no.. They were sighting the rifles in and the deer ran in front of the bullet?


That happens more than you would think around Longville....so I am told.

Goodmorning... Bobcat was screaming in the tamarac last night....



Got all the cows in the corral last night and we will be weaning and preg checking tomorrow along with pouring and shots. Then once the cows are done we will walk through and pick our retainment heifers and run them through and sell the rest as naturals.

Those tracks were too big for a bobcat...Unless your Brother has real dainty hands.


Are you sure Bobcat and not lynx or Cougar? I always thought the worse sound that sent shivers down my back was a bobcat....until I had the cougar outside my cabin screaming... That even had the dogs crawling under the bed.. I slept with the loaded shotgun right next to me that night!
