Bentleyville was a one hit wonder. It was a beautiful and magical place but it is one of those things where you can check it off your bucket list and say you did it.
We had some fun on 35W by Carleton....The SUV in front of us found some black ice and by the grace of a superior non human power they managed to slid down the center median, navigate perfectly between the center wire barriers, spin and face the right direction (opposite of the direction they were heading), they were able to drive right out....presumably to the nearest gas station to use the restrooms. Just 1 mile down the road there was an 8 car pileup of vehicles that hit the ditch or each other. It was slow and go but it was worth the drive.
I've used that in a homemade incubator before. Works nicely.DH said if you lived an hour closer he would have just paid you a visit and wired it up for you!
How are your temps holding?
We found that we need to have the incubator in a room at or above 62 degrees. Then we came up with the idea of wrapping the incubator in the thin reflective bubble wrap. (DH executed "our" idea.) BEST IDEA EVER! We noticed significantly less heat loss. I won't lie it did take a while for him to cut out all the little vent holes, hinges etc.
Do you sell buckeyes at all? Hardy dual purpose breed right? Had a friend suggest these to me. Have been curious since.I picked out my keeper pullets (PB Buckeyes and mutts) and locked them up for a little while along with two Buckeye Cockerels. Ignore the pullet with wry tail by the feeder... I only kept her for the later flock...

And my only pullet out of my f1 Olive Egger that got killed by a raccoon last spring. She is one hefty girl! Weighs the same as my Buckeye hens! I think it's because she is sooo long.

What are you looking for? Breeding stock? Layers? I am having some color issues in my males right now but I am hoping to get it straightened out with the females I am keeping back this year.Do you sell buckeyes at all? Speaking of cats we have a momma cat who broke into six pieces if anyone is interested in some barn cats.Holm sells everything, he specializes in things you do not need or want
List of things he has sold:
Ice to Eskimos
Jogging shoes for cows
Used wrapping paper
those plastic covers for Mc Donald drinks
unmatched pairs of shoes
Socks with holes
I am pretty sure he will have buckeyes..JUST do not trust his warranty.. I bought 2 cats from him, one broke into 4 pieces and he refuses to give me my money back!
