Surviving Minnesota!

HOLM wins two days in a row!!!

Merry Christmas All..

EJB I think you are right on the feed. Feed what you want.

I claim to feed mine cheaply now, and for the most part I am. BUT my layer flock gets table scraps to supplement the feed mix I make. They also free range, when they are not being wimps and requiring me to walk into the dark recesses of their coop to hand deliver them feed. Even this time of year they seem to find things to eat while free ranging.

I am learning to be a politician, so that means speaking out of both sides of my mouth. So while I feed them the feed I make with the calf concentrate, I have Flock Conditioner and a showbird supplement I add occasionally to the breeders....Then of course I have this:

And we all know how important this is to show birds....

This is what I feed my youngstock. They like this stuff a lot! But none of my birds are overly big fans of BOSS? What is wrongn with them? They have never liked it unless its out of the garden and still on the sunflower? Screwy birds?

I have a Christmas present here for you....

A nice looking sweet little Dominique hen....She is fairly cheap to raise and hardly takes any feed at all....

It appears the 3 eggs a day she is eating are about all she needs...
I have a Yoki Rooster that is eating eggs right now too! He's naughty...
