Surviving Minnesota!

Apparently I have some wimpy chickens. My son just opened the pop door for them, they haven't been out in any snow yet and it's a nice balmy 18F today. Two of the four said, "hell no' and went back inside right away. Right now one is perched by herself inside while the others are wandering around. That could be the one my son put on his sled and carried around for a while, she's probably traumatized.
Wish I could've seen the sled ride!

Snowing here . No frosted combs yet . Hey thinking of combs . I wonder if thick single combs like on a Minorca would do better in the cold . Those combs are huge .

I figure this way they'll be happy to stay in over the weekend when the high is only in the negative numbers. :)

Probably would just freeze faster like those weird featherless birds someone bred.
