Surviving Minnesota!

Morning all
28 degrees here right now.

I forgot to look when I got up.

Mnchickiemommy........... I think Accidental is on the Creamlegbarclub page. It looks like him on the calendar photo click through thingyamajig

You farm people will love this. I was listening to the Guy I am running against trying to show how knowledgeable he is in our farm lifestyle.....

This is paraphrased:

Announcer: What is a gravity box?

Him: a trailer farmers put grain in that dumps it into a lift thingy and puts it in the silo......

Later:

Annoucer: So farmers pay no sales tax for the things they buy at Fleetfarm?

him: Nope, not a cent.

I am headed to fleetfarm today! I want my money back! They have been collecting it from me.....( Maybe be forgot the rule of thumb, unless it turns to manure you pay tax on it) and you signed the from stating it will turn to manure.....

I just got a chuckle out of that one. I am not picking on city people, there are things they do I will never understand. But please, don't pretend to be one of us when your not... It would be like me claiming to be a ranger...It ain't never gonna happen..
:gig Too funny.

Just saw little fox as I was driving kids to bus. Husband saw it last night at lake landing. Definitely hanging around. I think we’re going to get a trapper friend to snare it. Sadie Mae tied up for a bit when she goes out.

I got home around 11 last night, I had a coyote cross the road in front of me, less than a mile from here....

I hate fur bearing animals!! I wish yours a speedy departure from 125 gr of lead..

Also @holm25
I need another tom cat! It appears OC has decided to live elsewhere...or stopped living. I have not seen him in several days.

I looked on the road, but I did not see anywhere he was pancaked to the asphalt.
We have a batch of younger cats ready to go. I also might be able to get you an older one.

We had a fox playing in the yard at some point the other night and a mink on the stream yesterday. And now I found some tracks as big as my palm with about 3 feet between each jump. And there was a spot where it jump at least some feet...

I am laughing hysterically here.

Just one correction though Ralphie.......we are one of few steer farmers that do drive up to the silo with our Gravity boxes. We store high moisture corn in the silo. So before the corn goes into a "lift thingy" it runs through an older roller mill then gets put into the "lift thingy" and then into the silo. Some farmers have luck with this method, if they feed enough animals.

Shucks darn....he is about 10 days to late to help with fixing the silo unloader. I am sure Corey (DH) would have loved having his helping hand to manuever the 600 lb 30 year old unloader. What is his number? I will have to see if he wants to help the next time we put it down a door. I will even be so kind as to offer him a dust mask and some safety glasses.

Thank you for the comic relief today!

You can keep your fox and mink. I will keep the 6 wild rabbits that like to greet me every morning.
