OH! I never shared pictures of combs last night! I am pretty darn happy with how these single combs held up considering I quit the Vaseline and coconut oil in early December if not the end of November. I just tried to keep the moisture down. I don’t do heated waterers and certainly don’t heat the coop and most night during the first cold snap it was 0 degrees or colder in there. All in all I only lost four birds over the winter!

Hey I have had as many as 15 eggs in coat pockets at one time without incident . Also break one when fewer are in my pockets . So never in a suit coat Ralphie .

He does! I forget to trim his beak up when I did toe nails on the birds the other night!

My Cochins beaks grow so fast! I am trimming them constantly, I even put a rock in each of the pens to try and give them a spot to scratch it down. It worked a little bit

Yeah. I have found that they just aren’t near active enough. They like laying around lol. Once te snow is gone they are going to spend some time outside. I am going to make some outdoor predator proof cages.

They really are lazy slugs! Once I get the new coop for them they will have a run that I am going to open when I am home. Today they are going outside after school in a grass cage, they enjoy it too
