Surviving Minnesota!

As a voting member of House District 15b, I participated in th events of yesterday. Ralphie was strong right up to the bitter end. The one candidate that I vowed never to vote for won the nomination, by virtue of crying about his recent loss of his mother. He played on the heart strings of anyone that was on edge. Politics are not for the faint of heart and not for the honest hardworking individual.

Ralphie, I apologize in advance for not offering condolences, however I believe you are attempting to start a political career in the wrong location. If you were to relocate to Wyoming your chances would be much better.
If it were not for family attachments I would not live in this state. I believe that for right thinking people there are only two things that justify living here. If one is an avid outdoorsman it may be a logical place to live , or if your family is here and they will not relocate.
Things were different in past decades, but the state is in political ruin now. High taxes, a thriving population of welfare loafers and an expanding population of violent criminals are not things which one might feel good about.
On a positive note, spring is just around the corner and my hens are in full production.

My day did not go well. I had the best supporters a person could ask for. I was the last one out of the voting. My supporters were hard working people. like me, that put the needs of the people of the district above the desires of the party.

However, our esteemed congressman's team stuck their fingers into the pot. I could not compete with last minute rule changes designed to make a person that cannot speak for 3 minute intelligently on a subject appear competent.

That is not say I did not make some errors. I did. However, I have learned the "system" is heavily weighted against the honest person. Integrity in politics does not exist. I actually am relieved to have it be over and to be able to give my birds more time.

I do have some guilt in not being able to help the next generations like I wanted. Part of my problem is my inability to see a pole cat and not just call it a skunk. If I was more political I would embrace it a lonely cat.

. Amazingly, I find my self having more in common with the person from the other party running than my own. I never thought that would happen.

I have no idea what I will do now, but I do know I cannot give Edina area people another anti-farm legislator.

I need time to think about this.
:barnieWhat are those people thinking!!
Sorry Ralphie :(:(:(:hugs

Smile !
