Surviving Minnesota!

Not wanting to go to Texas is entirely normal and a sign of a healthy mind.

I detest leaving my chickens to someone else's care as well. If it were up to me, I would never leave the house again, except to buy more birds...

Yes! I want to knit and tend chickens.

I took a trip with my daughter to the North Shore for girl bonding. I almost had an anxiety attack. I used to be a traveller, adventurer. Not so much now.

I found this great article on doing things with your hands and how it affects our brain chemistry for the better. I think it's why I like knitting. Why I built a coop. lots of satisfaction, but there is also a Brain Chemistry Happening. I actually saw this with my Husband's 95 year old Grandmother. She was in assisted living. I'd bring her to the farm in South Haven and give her Sweet Corn to husk (not a piece of silk left), Bring her a pumpkin to carve. She would light up. And she had memory issues. But she remembered those things. I have a desk job in front of a computer...so this also makes sense for me.

I stole my avatar too, so we can have guilty consciences together. Unless of course you don't have a conscience. :pop

Please explain "conscience" having spent so much time with the political types lately and so few of them having one, I am not sure I understand the concept anymore.........:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig

Had a bowl of home made chicken noodle soup with a side of home mad pickled fish and a banana... I’m gonna have to see if I can get a cluster of bananas next then I’m in the banana belt as the store bought ones are just not as good..
