Surviving Minnesota!

I just got through spending a ton of time in the barn. My grand-daughter refused to leave. There were chicks to hold.

This is one of her feeding them. Not sure what is cuter the kid or the chicks..

And another of her and a chick...can never have too many of both..

And some stills...

Grandson and Granddaughter each with a SS.... The SS are the only ones that tolerate being held by kids, or me.

Ignore that ugly white feather. This one will most likely not make a show bird.

These are my only chicks of this year.... Couple Doms, Cocekrels and pullet. And 2 Legbars, a cull and a good one. Accompanied by a SS that has a chance to make it to the shows.View attachment 1319026

And my pasture! Way too much snow today!

:love Adorable! The kids and the chickens.

We have moved from the condo on south padre island to the trailer park. This is my view.

Cocoon.

At any rate here in the park I pick these:

Fresh every morning. Tree to table in 30 seconds. Heaven. :drool

Kids are getting spoiled by G & G. And they are loving the grandkids to show off in the pool. :old

They have a spot on their lot we are thinking of planting a Sago Palm there. (Cycad) I noted one of the neighbors have a Sago with ‘pups’ and so were planning a midnight raid to acquire several pups for transplant. Heh heh heh....
No bananas here like at Ralphies...

I’m so far doing well without 10 inches Monday and the predicted 6-8 in Gods country.

However a Norwegian adapted to 25 below with prickly heat is reading the crap out of her book in the shade and wondering what she’s going to do with 7 dozen eggs in the fridge when she gets back.

“Yes kids, we are having quiche again tonight!”

Lol

See you Monday folks! Flying back in for Minneapolis rush hour. DH planned it perfectly.
