The vehicle is 15 years old so we're looking for a used part. DH taped what he could of it so it should be legal to drive in the mean time. I don't want car payments so I'm trying to keep it somewhat decent. It's kind of fun seeing how many miles it'll go only at 260,000 now.

Holms, Happy birthday to your mother. At 41 she is certainly not an old lady. Middle age starts at 50 which is half way to 100.

The number of posts on our Surviving Minnesota site has been much lacking as of late. I suppose that most are out enjoying the short nonwinter to get projects done and enjoy recreational activities ? Some lose enthusiasm for the poultry hobby and move on to other activities ?
Good to read that Jerry is making headway in his building project.
I have not read much about the hunt for fungi this year ?

Bitsy has integrated her chicks with the big girls and is back to laying. 4 1/2 weeks.

erlibrd, did you find the used part for your vehicle ? I would expect they would be readily available through salvage yards ?

Curious as to how many in this group allow broody hens to hatch chicks ?
Seems that most much prefer to use an incubator.
