It’s doves lol. We hunt Doves, Pigeons and Geese right now and will start taking out some ducks the 22nd.

Doves are heckin tasty lol. Almost as good as Ruffed Grouse!

Morning . Got a new to me freezer yesterday . Old one quit in June while I was gone . 48 years . Good thing it was in the garage . Phewee

What does your new coop look like?

It is just an old barn that serves a better purpose as a chicken coop. I am going to try and get pictures tonight. We had to do about 4 days of work to get it chicken and chick proof.

Back home. One of the lavenders looks a little stiff yet. I’m not sure if she’ll make it or not . I’ll check her over Tonight at roost time. Right now she’s not eating the best and drinking quite a bit of electrolyte water. They were glad to be out of the run and grazing and foraging. Louie hanging tight with the girls. He’ll be ok I’m thinking.

Right now I’m incinerating my losses at the campfire pit. And Freya the barred rock puppy is by my ankles asking me questions.

Actually I think she wants to find a nest to lay.
