Surviving Minnesota!

Sliding door froze shut . Garage door remote not working in this cold . New batteries may help . Remote did this a few days ago in the cold . Sunny but usually is when it gets this cold .

First frosted muff of the season!

Well now my truck will not go into 4 WD . So just got back with a new actuator . I may wait until Monday to install it . My grandson borrowed my truck for the weekend . He is parting out a truck he bought . Then to the scrap yard with the remains . Extra money is his plan .

I can identify with this! Trucks no matter how good they are like to break down at the most inopportune time.

I suspect some form of counterfeit is at work on that document...

A forgery? Who in the H---- would do that and why? That's just cruel if it is a forgery. Get my hopes up to win a new flasher and then have the rug pulled out from under me..

I am sitting here in complete disbelief over this.

In other news, the egg count was 5 today, 2 layers, a Dom, chanticler and a Turkey..... I started cleaning the hatcher today, the basement and the kitchen.....Hopefully the little woman will finish all I started....:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig

I have a story of young love in "as the coop turns:....

I allowed Hoover to meet a new young girl today. The girl from the toadstool now lives with Hoover.

It was true love when I introduced them, Hoover immediately dipped a wing as if to say "Hello, my true love"...

The young girl over reacted and screamed as if she was being assaulted..

Hoover swears "nothing happened and he was well behaved"....

There was a game of tag in the pen as the young girl ran from Hoover who was obviously "it".

When I left the game was over and the young lady was either sitting in the nest trying to lay an egg or hiding from hoover, depending on which one you decide to believe....

Hoover was either standing guard outside the nest box to protect the young girl or waiting for her to step out so he could rape her,,,,,,again depending on which one of the two you decide to believe.

I believe Hoover, he has proven himself reliable and trustworthy and had stopped killing turkeys.

He doesn’t have anytime to kill turkeys. He’s got a lady now.

There will be a line up change in the coop!

The Chanticler rooster is out! Not one Chanticler egg was good....

Some of the legbar hens will be out. I am not getting enough eggs from them and they are not exactly what I want in the next generation. I have too many hens for old One eye Jack to handle. I only have 3 good eggs and not getting any lately. I could have an egg eater in there, not sure.

All the dark crested ones are headed to the layer pen.

The SS are doing good. I am not sure if I will hatch anymore or not. He has 15 eggs hatching.

The Dom has 7 hatching, I need more of them. They are not laying well though. I may have to re-assess them. Not sure what changes I would do there.

No good Toad eggs! Disappointing. I hope Hoover helps this, the other rooster could be too young or too dumb.

Finally, only one good turkey egg......darn. I think I will name that one lucky, if it hatches it will be a pet, I am afraid. Lone poults get too attached to people. It could even become a TV watching bird.
